How it works

Software-first. No sub-metering. No prepaid wallets.

01
Get the charger
Any OCPP charger works. We supply the Teltonika TeltoCharge if you need one.
02
Wire it up
Your electrician (or ours, in Gauteng) connects it and points it at ChargeSplit. Online in 30 minutes.
03
Billing runs itself
Every kWh metered at your property's tariff. On the 1st, the managing agent gets a per-unit breakdown.
Load balancing

A full car park won't trip the breaker.

Every complex feeds its chargers from one supply circuit. ChargeSplit knows exactly how many amps that circuit has and balances the load across all of them — live, over the same OCPP connection that meters the energy. No second meter, no load-control box to buy.

Shares one circuit
Amps are split across every car charging at once, so the total never exceeds what the supply can carry.
Reclaims idle amps
A car that's tapering off or only pulls a few amps hands its spare capacity to the cars that can use it.
Never starves a car
Every session keeps the minimum an EV needs. If the site is genuinely full, the next driver is asked to try again shortly — never a dark garage.
We set the limits
Configured from your electrician's supply rating. If our server ever drops, each charger holds its last safe limit — the circuit stays protected.

No Energy Guard box, no extra load controller — load balancing runs in software over OCPP 1.6 Smart Charging, on the chargers you already have.
